Another buglet in the Google API stuff
Each time you hit the Syncronize button on the backend, every EA appointment record is duplicated in the EA database but not in the Google Calendar, even those in the past.
It appears that any EA appointment in the Google Calendar is not being checked against records in the EA DB before EA decides whether said record needs to be added.
