Wrong file extension

Sometimes I see (double) files with a temporary extension

I can view the file with a photoviewer, so it's only the naming part.

Yes. When you send a file twice, the daemon adds a random suffix to avoid overwritting.
It is a feature, not a bug :-D

Ahh, maybe an idea to add the random suffix before the extension? (so a user can still view the images with his photoviewer)

Modern software detects the type of archive using some kind of 'magic' mimetype, not the file extension.

Anyway is a good suggestion.
