Alpha cuts out occasionally. Black screen, comes right back

Alright so Ive had my alpha for almost a year now. Recently its been doing this more and more. I'll be playing (always when playing, never with movies or kodi so far atleast) and the screen goes black... no audio, screen will say input lost and the alpha is 'off'. The light on the alien, the blue light on the back, all of it is off. this lasts anywhere from 2 seconds to 15 seconds. Then suddenly it all comes right back. I am right where I was in game, as if it never happened. Everything works from then on, and itll happen again sometimes in 40 minutes to an hour.
Any thoughts?

i posted this on reddit as well for some extra input. Basically im worried if this means my videocard is dieing or something. it completely seems to shut off, but I know it didnt because a few seconds later it comes right back up with input and I am right where I was in the game.
