It would be good to know if this project is still alive, if it may see bug fixes or if pull requests would get accepted.

@alxgb since there was no activity or response, I plan to create a copy of this repository (with the original license and commit history intact) to simplify future updates and community contributions. Let me know if you are not OK with this.
