Omni searches from the same tab instead of a new tab

If i am on youtube and i use omni to search for something instead on opening a new tab it searches from the same tab do it becomes a hassle ( have to use the to go back instead of switching tabs) to compare stuffs between two tabs

Can't seem to get that working. Is there a solution for this?
