When using this package I get the following error in local development:
Unhandled Runtime Error Error: Cancel rendering route
Everything else seems to work but the error popping up is annoying.

thanks for reporting your finding! I'm unfortunately not able to help you if you delete the issue template. Can you open a new issue where you use the template and provide a reproduction?
