Embeds not showing up

(this is a self-answered issue for future folk coming across this)
I had a user setting toggled
User Settings -> Under 'App Settings' click 'Text & Images' -> Link Preview must be turned on.
Apparently With that setting turned off, no embeds will show. This plugin utilizes discord's embed feature - and embeds won't show if Link Previews are turned off.
I wish discord's naming were more consistent, it took me a while to find.
