Instalable version does not ask admin-privileges

Original issue 3 created by amd989 on 2010-09-14T11:04:41.000Z:
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start installable Symlink Creator
- Try to create symlink
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Symlink creator says symlink created, even though it is not. This seems to be because the program does not ask admin privileges which are needed to create a symlinks. Also with installable version I did not see "Run as administrator" option in the right click menu. That option is found only from regural version.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 7 UAC enabled, Symlink Creator 1.1.0.6

Hello,
I will look into this issue, as far as I can tell if administrative permissions are required to run this program I will have to change the installation method...
The idea of ClickOnce installation method is that the user can run this application with no need of administrative privileges.
I'll see what i can do to fix it.
Thank you for your concern.

I would also like to add the same thing occurred for me. I see no way to start program as Administrator and the system link is not created despite the popup saying it is!

Same here, sorry. I installed, say link is created (but is not), and there is no direct means to run as an administrator.
I'll try the no-install EXE in the meanwhile, thanks for the app, anyhow :-D
Cheers
Rich
