Receiving when minimized

When I receive a msg and I open the contact chat box and view it, and then minimize the app. If I receive another msg immediately from the same contact and I maximize the app I have to go back to contact list and click on the contact again to load dat new msg. Otherwise I can't see dat msg. Please solve this.
