Bodies critique

  • "This chapter is all over the place"
  • Add more examples of researchers trying to bridge gulfs of execution
  • I wish the first paragraph included a brief list of the different types of body-based inputs (i.e., speech, gaze, limb, etc.)
  • I've noticed that you sometimes go into a lot of detail about the technical implementation of a concept like voice input, but gloss over the nitty gritty in others like gaze
  • when discussing voice input and its drawbacks, I'm surprised there was no mention of errors with voice input in situations where people have different accents or pronunciations.
  • One example that might be interesting to add to the Body section is Virtuix Omni One

Typos

  • And the word "entail" was mistakenly written as "intail" at the end of the chapter.

  • Within the Limbs section, it writes “feasible to agree” and I think it may mean “feasible to a degree”? At the top of the body section, it writes “infrafred” rather than “infrared.”

  • Under the gaze video: "For example, one effort to design a hands-free, gaze-based drawing tool for people with motor disabilities ended up requiring the careful of commands to avoid frustrating error handling and disambiguation controls9 (Links to an external site.)." seems to be missing a word after "careful"

  • "Using this depth map, it build basic skeletal models of players..." should be "built" or "builds"
