Launching the game hangs KDE entirely

Hello. Thanks for the great launcher!
I'm trying to run the anime game on my old laptop with an nvidia gpu. When I start the game and the splash screen shows up, the game sometimes hangs indefintely while also hanging the system. When this happens I'm unable to Alt+Tab/Ctrl+Alt+Backspace out of this. Only doing Alt+SysRq -> REI helps.
Is there any way to solve this issue?

i have the same problem. then when switching a bunch of game options, it works but then crashes saying the hoyoprotect.dll or what ever is not found....
