Based on PHP-URL-Shortener by Brian Cray (now abandoned), this app provides a simple but powerful PHP+MySQL based URL shortener.

- Download or clone the PHP URL shortener script to your web server
- Update the database info in config.php
- Run the SQL included in shortenedurls.sql
- Rename rename.htaccess to .htaccess
- To manually shorten URLs open in your web browser the location where you uploaded the files
