They are stubs which get removed when the start menu update it set. It only sets for new users though so can you try adding a new user and see if that removes them? I usually run pre-first login to make sure it catches everyone
But isn't it also possible to customize the start menu for the current user? So you don't have to create a new user?
Are you using Intune to manage the devices? Windows 11 doesn't have the same import-startlayout functionality that Windows 10 has.
The only current way to configure the start menu is using an MDM and targeting the Default user profile unfortunately
No, I don't use intune. I only use a local device.
There isn't a way to automate start menu deployment for Windows 11 on non-MDM joined devices as yet, it's a manual process to add/remove apps
So there's no way to make these adjustments?
Because some adjustments in the start menu from your script have worked well.
Not that I'm aware of for those parts, the others were app removals, but configuring the start menu JSON can only be done using an MDM of some sort
