Install and Test Instructions

Would love to see some install and first test instructions.

Me 2. I don´t know where to install this nice piece of code.

Yeah, I felt the same way. However, it looks like there is a much more user-friendly variant at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/noaneddfkdjfnfdakjjmocngnfkfehhd?hl=en-US -- the home page is at http://www.chromephp.com/.

install instructions, please ...

i figured this out myself:

  • download the firephp-chrome source, if you've not already done this.
  • enter: chrome://flags in the URL entry of chrome and 'enable' the experimental extensions API. restart chrome, after you've done this, at least the following steps did not work for me without restarting chrome.
  • open the extensions-page via 'window > extensions' and click on 'developer mode' in the upper right corner of the page.
  • press the now visibile button 'load unpacked extensions ...' and select the 'src' directory of the downloaded firephp-chrome package.
  • done.

works like a charm for me.

Thanks aurora. I'm not sure if this is a Linux Chrome 15 issue, but my console is blank.

To be sure, the extension is adding the required X-FirePHP-Version:0.6 header on the request, and Zend_Wildfire is spitting out all the right response headers (I can see all that in the network tab). But the console remains empty.

Any suggestions?

My bad. Didn't realize that table type messages where not supported.

I've added more detailed instructions about how to install and use this extension. Aurora, I've included your instructions too, thanks!
