Google Translator as a FF WebExtension?

Is this add-on going to be made as a WebExtension?
It's one of the add-ons I've grown accustomed to and it would be a shame if this stopped working in v57.

I tried to build it with minor edits (replacing Promise.defer basically), but referring to the GT server gives 403.
@andy-portmen maybe you have time to fix getting data from the server in webext? We all really need this addon ^^

What I hadn't realized at the time I initially asked about a webextension variant, is that it already exists. It was last updated 6 months ago (May 16, 2017), also by Andy Portmen and, as far as I can tell, works very well.

I get TypeError: header is undefined | inject.js:85:5 in FF 58 by clicking on the translation icon above the selected text
@andy-portmen, can you please update the source code in the repository?
