Skipping in long tracks

Using Mint 20.1 Cinnamon - all up to date.
Whenever I play long tracks >20mins, the playback skips forward and indeed backwards. This is repeated across 2 machines with very similar builds.

Can you tell me what audio format ? Also can you post the program output in console while having the issue ?
