lttoolbox and apertium both have tests folders that you could use as examples (with a check goal in Makefile.am so that one can run tests on make check). Those kinds of tests are good for simple sentences, as regression tests and edge-case testing.

For testing the actual quality improvement, a gold corpus would be best – @ftyers is there something suitable we could use for eng-spa?

• null flushing
• using "anaphor" in pattern
• normal usage
