AST contains the symbol name in payload.reference.id only when the payload is a reference.

See my other comment on blueprint repository. This is non descriptive and probably only makes some sense to us (at the very moment).
Shouldn't this issue be called "Add model reference to AST" or perhaps "Missing symbol reference"?
