areas still around?

For some bizarre reason, the event module still ends up showing things at areas:

areas: { thumbnail: [Object], body: [Object] }

I got this out of aposLocals.js line 349, by trying to console.log() the arguments aposAreaImage() receives after it gave me some trouble.
