simCluster in 9.2.1 gives valid, reasonable results. simCluster in 9.3.1_development currently gives a good main sequence which is apparently not affected by change of model (bug 1). Additionally, the WD branch is spread into a very long diagonal to the top-left of the main sequence on the CMD (bug 2).

This issue is fixed in 9.4.0.
