The certificate for goatcounter.com expired on 10/4/2024.
Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE

was going to submit issue, true error.
also to bypass this type directly in chrome "thisisunsafe" to the void and the site will autoreload into the site itself.
Did that, but as you might expect it hasn't been collecting stats since yesterday.

I was able to point a CNAME record for my domain name to [whatever].goatcounter.com and everything seems to work on my end now. Including data collection.
You can bypass the error in your browser, sure, but no metrics have been logged for a few days.

That issue also has some discussion of why automating this renewal is hard from a security perspective, but it would still be very nice to have. After this, I'd ask for that automation to be considered again if it can be done securely. I'd happily donate to the project to that end if it makes a difference.
