@ character in mono variant is difficult to guess

ng-hai opened this issue · 1 comments

Problem description
While writing content for technical blog post, I notice that the @ character is quite difficult to recognize at the first glance.

Expected behavior
Would love to have another style for that character, for example in .AppleSystemUIFontMonospaced, the content will look like @github/hotkey

To Reproduce
We could reproduce by go to the https://www.recursive.design playground, input @github/hotkey word and choose Mono Linear Regular at size 14pt.

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS 13.0.1 (22A400)
  • Browser: Safari 16.1 (18614.2.9.1.12)
  • Fonts: I use @next/font/google in my project, so I think it will fetch the latest font version on Google Fonts.

Thanks for taking time to write an issue!

That's the intended default style. However, if you would prefer an alternate version for this character (and/or several others), check the project readme for details on available OpenType features.

Best of luck on the blog post! Awesome to see that you're writing a technical post in Vietnamese.
