Is there a particular reason why we can't input past events?
I am in a case where I need to key in past events.

No there isn't I can have a build fix for that. Originally the idea was to limit the client from picking a date in the past, but I see now that that's silly. I'll fix it in the next build.

Fixed in the 5.0 Release.
Planned release date is today.
