keyboard events alpine.js errors in production but not development

When I search and you my keyboard up and down buttons. The browser console will throw errors on production with alpine.js and I cannot select item up and down with keyboard.

However in development this does not happen.

I suspect there are some difference between npm run dev and npm run prod that causes this issue.

I am using the latest version of alpine.js currently. 8 July 2020.
