This is a bug in that sample code. I logged a bug on Kendo UI to address this: telerik/ui-for-aspnet-mvc-examples#15

The fix should be simple.

@Eilon looks like this isn't going to be a simple fix; I've updated to offending code like suggested; but I'm now getting:-

System.IO.FileLoadException: 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.Loader, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)'

but not sure why that would be :'( as the exception looks to come from MVC ?
