Not giving push notification in private channel

I just enabled the plugin but found following things :

  1. It works fine when the rocket chat channel is not private.
  2. As I make it private - I see following error in gitlab during test push Hook executed successfully but returned HTTP 500 room not found or inaccessible

Please suggest.

I think it should help to invite rocket.cat to the private channel. In current versions of Rocket.Chat, only channel members can post messages in a private channel. This was previously possible by Apps as well.
