There are loads of cool tools out there for painlessly installing, managing, and updating software, or even entire subsystem environments. The obvious ones are things like HomeBrew, Docker, or Nix, and I think it would be useful to have a short introduction to some of these, so that we are familiar with what is available both in installing software on our machines, and in making our environments reproducible for other people.
I would be happy to lead the session if no one else would like to volunteer :)
