Hi, I appreciate this comprehensive project.
I'm using an AsteroidOS powered smartwatch as a smartclock and this project is perfect to sync with it.
I have added MQTT publish to notification - https://github.com/abishekmuthian/AsteroidOSLinux/blob/Release/asteroid/app.py#L68
Please let me know if you are interested in PR or shall I continue maintaining the fork?
