Change localisation for formatting

Ethercalc detects if my locals are in French. So then, when I want to change how a date is displayed, I have the choice only in French format. If my locales are set to en_US then there is no way for me to use other formats the US standards.
It would be nice to be able to choose a different language for formatting, so for example having ethercalc in French but being able to choose English formatting.
