master on ruby 2.5 has failing specs

This is related to PR #333.
I tested master again on my system (Ubuntu 16.04) on Ruby 2.5 and 2.4.3:
- 5 failing specs of
rake spec - 3 failing specs of
env BUNDLE_GEMFILE=gemfiles/rails_5.0.gemfile rake spec(this includes #333's broken spec)
