Option to not quote attribute names?

Unfortunately, Gephi seems to ignore attribute names in quotes. While I think they should really fix this, it would be nice if either there was an option not to quote, or a if loom intelligently looked to see whether quoting is necessary (presence of spaces or other troublesome characters in attribute name?).
Is this in the cards? I might be able to help if so.
Hi, @metasoarous. Could you give a bit more detail on this issue? What mechanism are you using to interface with Gephi?

This has to do with the dot formatting/io functionality. The output string/file has quoted attribute names which Gephi doesn't like. However, Gephi folks said they were going to fix this on their end. But I don't know if they've gotten around to it yet or if there is a stable release with that functionality. Could always add the option for the sake of offering backwards compatibility with older versions of Gephi. But if you didn't want to add the complexity here for something that's fixed there (again, assuming it is fixed there), I can't blame you for it.
