RegisterCreatureEvent does not fire

RegisterCreatureEvent does nothing. It executes the command without an error, but the events never happen. Tested for OnEnterCombat, OnLeaveCombat and OnDied.

I tried the same script with a compiled version from Nov 13th and it worked fine.
