Hello Team,

I have an error (screenshot) that does not seem to have impact on the functionality of the website (not that I can tell ;) ):

image

It seems to be the result of a firewall block of dipdup.io:

Suggestion:
If a user is asking IT to allow access to a website maybe the website should route calls do other entities through an alias (is this possible). Instead of using the not accessible dipdup.net website maybe the original link of tzkt.io?

Hey, Carlo!

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, our explorer uses various microservices, most of which are built as a separate open-source projects, hosted on their own domains, so some API requests are sent to the external domains indeed.

Also, we use 3rd-party services, for example here, where requests are sent to 3rd-prarty APIs as well.

So, yeah we can create an alias, or spin up a proxy at *.tzkt.io for some of our own services, like mempool, dapps, stats, etc., but it's not always possible for 3rd-party services, due to their terms of use. So, the problem you describe cannot be completely solved, unfortunately.

Anyway, your suggestion is quite useful and will definitely lead to better UX 👍, so we will consider solving it partially, at least :)

I'm closing this issue, as it's actually not related to the indexer repo. With such kind of questions it's better to contact us directly at: Discord, Telegram, or Slack ;)

Thx for taking it on! I made all requests to whitelist all the services domain addresses at bmw and now I am able to use it but I'm general I assume that everyone else will have the same issue and not be using the the "explore" functionality of chrome to figure it out but just be pissed it's not working haha

Which slack? Tezos dev slack?
