AHKFastTranslator is an AutoHotkey script that provides a fast and convenient way to translate text using Google Translate API. It allows you to assign a hotkey that triggers the translation process, and the translated text can be displayed in a tooltip or a message box.

How To Install

  1. Install AutoHotKey (https://www.autohotkey.com).
  2. Download the AHKFastTranslator.ahk file from this GitHub repository.
  3. Double-click the AHKFastTranslator.ahk file to run the script.

Usage

  1. After running the script, a tray icon will appear.
  2. Right-click the tray icon to access the menu options.
  3. Choose "GUI" to open the translation GUI (also double-clicking the icon opens the GUI).
  4. In the GUI, select the source and target languages from the dropdown menus.
  5. Assign a hotkey by clicking on the "GUI Popup Hotkey" field and pressing the desired key combination.
  6. Click the "Save" button to save the hotkey.
  7. Choose the preferred output method (tooltip or message box).
  8. Optionally, enable the "Copy Translation to Clipboard" checkbox to copy the translation automatically to the clipboard.
  9. Close the GUI.
  10. Whenever you need a translation just press the hotkey and write your text then press enter.

Requirements

AutoHotkey (version 1.1.33.02 or later)

Troubleshooting

If the script doesn't work as expected, make sure you have the correct version of AutoHotkey installed.
