Online-Status uses wrong IP to check

Opened this issue · 1 comments

I've got a remote location with the WOL agent set up on a server.
WOL 2.12.14 is installed on my local machine, the host entry for the remote machine has the IP of the server machine set in the "Wakeup" tab -> FQDN/IP. And it has the remote machines LAN IP in the Status/Control tab.
I can wake up the remote machine with this setup.

My issue: the remote machine is always shown as "Online", because WOL seems to use the status of the WoL relay server for this status.
The IP in the Status/Control tab is not used for this check.
If I put the LAN IP of the remote machine into the field "FQDN/IP", the status is picked up correctly, but of course I can't wake up the machine anymore.

Yes, you are correct.
Online status check does not work through the WOL proxy agent.
That's a great idea and it is possible, but the program does not do this at this time.
Sorry.
