Multiple proof requests sent on deeplink

Go through the Joyce or student demo on your mobile phone. When you get to the proof request screen, select open in wallet. BCWallet will connect and receive 2 proof requests.
Expected behavior: the user should only receive one proof request

I can only reproduce this issue on the bcwallet from the android store. If I use the latest version of android from an emulator then I don't encounter the problem. Closing this issue as it will likely be solved by a later build
