Custom access in user profile fields is not saved

Context: elgg v2.3.3 + granular_access v1.1.1

Scenario:

• Go to 'edit profile' page
• In the 'about me' access field, select 'custom' option --> a 'custom access' field is displayed
• In the 'custom access' field, enter a group name and select it
• At the end of the 'edit profile' page, click 'save' button
• Click on 'edit profile' button to check the changes
  ==> The custom access change is not taken into account
