Description
Outcome Visualisation 3: A disaster modelling startup enabled to deliver early flood warning indication to the Disaster Mgmt. Authority (Bhutan)
- Sky Analytics is a climate services startup delivering disaster prediction models to Governments. It uses weather, geospatial, and historical disaster data to predict specific disasters.
- In Thimpu, Sky Analytics uses Platform (?) to search for 1-year historical and 30 days weather forecast data in Sarpang to identify probability, timing, and duration of floods this year
- Sky Analytics receives a list of weather data sources (National Met. Service, Private Weather Services, Open Sources) present in the network (?)
- It views the weather state variable data attributes available from 1 Private Weather Service, in Bhutan
- Sky Analytics selects the data fields from the Weather Service
- Sky Analytics receives a smart contract from Weather Service, and accepts the terms
- Within seconds, its platform imports the weather data
- Blue Cross' model generates flood prediction output at various sensitivity levels across regions in Sarpang
