macOS cannot verify developer and kills the process

I'm using a MacBook Pro running Ventura (13.6.1). When I run ./mac-registration-provider
from the terminal, I get a warning that pops up saying, "“mac-registration-provider” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware." I only have the options to cancel or move the utility to trash. When I return to the terminal I see zsh: killed ./mac-registration-provider
returns after I try executing the above command.

Never saw it in the documentation, but now I see that I can go into Settings > Privacy &. Security, scroll down to where it mentions it didn't allow mac-registration-provider
to run, and select "Allow Anyway".
