“Mac” and “PC” are not operating systems.
“Mac” is a hardware manufactured by Apple - MacOS-X is the operating system, not “Mac”. And exactly now i’m running Ubuntu (GNU/Linux) in a MacBook Air.
“PC” is a personal computer, which all “Macs” also are. an SGI workstation is a PC, Commodore Amiga is a PC, BeBox is a PC, etc. - there are lots of operating systems available for PC: GNU/Linux, MacOS-X, BSD, Plan-9, Haiku (formerly BeOS), ReactOS (and it’s crappy proprietary alternative named MS-Windoze), etc.
