battery status and reservoir started

Opened this issue · 4 comments

As I am working through what data would be useful for someone to see on a regular basis as part of a push notification, alarm, or a query, I was thinking that battery status and reservoir started date would be of a lot of interest. I think we have the primary interest data which is bolus history (and can subsequently calculate insulin on board), insulin remaining in the reservoir, etc., but as we move forward those pieces of information would be useful. I am happy to help figure that out but Ill need some guidance.

Also, the newer pumps like the 723 actually have insulin on board in the summary now when you hit escape. Does this mean that info would be available to query as well potentially? I am writing an IOB calculator right now from bolus history but if the newer pumps have it is even easier.

Any insights would be great - thanks!

I think a IOB calculator would be really cool.

The newer models do have a way to query IOB from what I can tell, but I have no idea what the command is. If we have a spare pump and are feeling brave, I bet we could figure it out via brute force.

I am just fixing up my html (jquery mobile does an awesome job for view this stuff on a phone, which is my primary use case) for the basic stuff I am downloading now. Will do the IOB calculator next for the pump interrogator. Its a key piece of data Id like to know as I make decisions on bolus/basal levels for my kid.

Ill try to send you more bolus data this week from my kids pump along with the carelink uploads and Ill flag bad data.

Wondering if mm-latest.py now does what you want, or if something is still needed.

openaps now supports this through the read_battery_status and by exporting history.
I think for exporting history, to find this, we need to look for the Prime events.
