Not sure how this could work with the client (TestFlight distribution?), but would definitely be welcome for the server app.
EDIT: Thought for the client - maybe not automatic updates, but check for a newer version on launch and display an alert if the user is running an outdated version.

Please, is it possible to have an About... item in the menu with the version number?
