Error 413 in send Bitcoin window, after hitting "send max"

I get an error when I try to send Bitcoin with the Android app, the latest available version in the Play Store.

"Error 413", it lets me tap on "Got it" and bail out of there.

HTTP 413 is payload too large, if it's HTTP. This likely is a pretty large transaction. I presume this is an issue/limitation with Bitpay infrastructure and not the app, itself.

I just made a BCH payment without issue from the same wallet.

Could you advise?

Edit: By "large transaction," I mean input wise having many small payments. I'm not sure how many unspents there are, but probably a number (100?)
