Vault timeout not respected on Android (13)

Production Build

  • I'm using the legacy Bitwarden app pubicly available in App Store / Play Store and I'm aware that Bitwarden Beta bugs should be reported in bitwarden/android or bitwarden/ios

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Go to 'Settings > Account Security'
  2. Click on 'Session timeout'
  3. Scroll down to 'N/A'
  4. Click on 'Session timeout'

Expected Result

The vault should lock only after the set session timeout time.

Actual Result

Sometimes, the vault locks immediately upon switching over to another screen/app. This feature is inconsistent.

Additional Context

As a related feature request I suggest adding a self-destructing, temporary notification showing a countdown timer for as long as the vault is unlocked. When the vault locks (based on the session timeout) the notification should self destruct.

RoboForm does just that and I find it very useful.

I attempted to reproduce your issue and was unable to do so. I think your error could have its origin as an application error and not as a bug with the product itself. We were unable to reproduce this issue on multiple devices, you may try to reinstall the application on your phone.
