Persist/serialise blocks?

Will or is there a way to persist/serialise resulting mdx for further modifications?
I am thinking towards a way to let registered user configure their profile page using some kind of WYSIWYG. At the moment profile is already mdx, so block-ui looks like a logical choise.

Nobody is working on blocks in 2020. Unfortunately :(

And I think this will stay like this till other stuff is done. Like MDX v2.
