The difference between “PCoA” and “MMDS” in pyLDAvis (related to topic modeling)

Hi everyone;
I am working on my thesis and unfortunately have encountered an issue.
I have searched about the difference between “pcoa” and “mmds”; according to my findings, I think a result based on “mmds” is more reliable than “pcoa” in pyLDAvis. However, I am not sure about it and really could not find any reference which can compare these two methods in detail.
I was wondering if anyone could show me which of these methods are better in pyLDAvis concept, (either based on her/his experience or scientific resources)
