Dead drive letter after reformat and uninstall

can't remove or access letter E:\
E:\ is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or Internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted.
E:\ was an EXT4 partition that I recovered using your software and after deleting the partition, without removing the link using ext2fsd ui, left a dead letter that I can't fix. I've tried other things mentioned on the web to no avail
