@stephpenn1 Are you interested in taking this on? It would involve

  1. Moving tibble from Imports to Suggests in DESCRIPTION
  2. Copy weak_tibble as weak_as_tibble functions from fortedata into utils.R here
  3. Replacing every as_tibble call with a weak_as_tibble, and every tibble with weak_tibble
