Chrome Dev-Tools doesn't work properly

Steps to reproduce:
Basically quick-start setup as described here: https://github.com/bradstewart/electron-boilerplate-vue#quick-start
Bugs after running npm run dev:
- highlighting HTML Nodes via the Chrome Dev Tools doesn't work (when hovering a node in the elements tab)
- selecting HTML Nodes via the Chrome Dev Tools doesn't work
- loads of errors show up in the terminal window
