The install encountered error 1073741845

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro
System Specs: i3 Processor, 4GB Ram, 64 Bit Processor
While trying to install Brave browser, it is saying "Downloading...installing..." and after half completion it is saying "The install encountered error 1073741845" . The screenshot is:
I had the same problem when i was using the online installer. In case you haven't solved this yet and for the sake of those receiving the same error while installing brave. Just go here -> https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/releases/tag/v0.56.12 and download the offline installer ie. BraveBrowserStandaloneSetup.exe or BraveBrowserStandaloneSetup32.exe
btw i'm posting this using the newly installed brave browser. Damn this is faster than chrome :)
I've tried that standalone setup already, but still getting the same error.
Same here, but Windows 10. Is there a fix yet? Although it is not installing, something remains on the system and I can't remove it. When I try the offline installer instead, it cancels because it thinks there is already a version on my system...
@nils-fl , Nope. Still in my office computer, I'm facing the same issue. In fact, it is coincidental that I have got this issue today morning only and checked this thread if I got any further replies here.
I've tried the latest 0.57 build both online and offline standalone installers and not worked, same issue, same error number. I suspect that it is due to Anti Virus, but, Chrome is installing fine.
This repo is for the older version of the Brave browser. Closing in favor of brave/brave-browser#2768
